Handiwork in California must not exceed $1000 without a contractor's license and insurance.
HOURLY
Handy rate: $85
Painting rate: $65
(5% discount if paid in cash)
State tax: 7.25% on supplies
Supply mark-up: 20%
Parking: If applicable in your neighborhood
SMALL PRINT
Acceptable forms of payment:
Cash, Check, Venmo, Credit Card or Online through Square Invoices
Credit card payment fees: 2.6% swiped, 3.5% manual, 3% online
Late payments: $25 fee after 14 days
Scam interference: SFI does not accept deposits for work, or work with out of state clients. Payment is expected at the time of completion of the project.

TRAVEL
Temporary rate change: $50
Kelley is happily serving central San Diego County and will travel 30 minutes from downtown.
(Gas price increase as of 4/1/26. Travel prices will be adjusted accordingly)
